Prepare a Baby Room
Be practical: Be practical when choosing a room for your baby. It can be your own room or a separate room, but make sure the room is in a quiet corner of the house. You may need to shuffle the furniture in the room to make it more practical and safe for children.
Air conditioning: Depending on the climate in your place of residence, ensure adequate air conditioning in the children's room. In case you live in a place with a hot climate, ensure sufficient ventilation of the child's room, and in case the general climate is cold, ensure sufficient heating for a comfortable temperature for the child.
Bright, but not bright: in the first months, the baby will look mostly at the roof of the room. So make sure there is no bright light on the roof or in the room. Make sure that the technical lighting in the room is soft and gentle and not directly in the child's field of vision. If the natural lighting in the room is bright, it is good to use window curtains, especially when the child is sleeping.
Child protection: The room and all furniture in the room must be equipped with child protection. The floor must be carpeted for padding to avoid the risk of serious injury. Provide suitable means of waste disposal to maintain hygiene in the rooms. Vacuum the room to make the room dust free.
Soothing colors: Use calming soothing pastel colors in the nursery. Bright and bold colors can upset a child. Make sure the equipment in the room matches. While it is preferable for the furniture to match, it is important that it is also practical.
