Depression causes serious symptoms that affect how you feel, think, and manage your daily activities. Most people experience anxiety or depression at times due to situations in their lives. However, a persistent state of depression can lead to severity. However, you don't need to use drugs to overcome depression.,
Feeling several of the following for at least 2 weeks may indicate depression:
1. Loss of interest in daily activities.
You no longer care much about social activities, your hobbies, and basically everything your life was about. Nothing brings you pleasure or joy.
2. A feeling of helplessness and hopelessness.
The feeling that nothing will give. Nothing ever gets better and all hope is lost. The desperate situation seems to stay there and there is nothing you can do to improve the situation.3. Self-loathing.
You constantly criticize yourself for perceived mistakes and past mistakes. You don't value yourself and feel that you are responsible for the situation you are in.
4. Loss of energy.
Carrying out even the smallest of tasks proves exhausting. Feeling tired and physically exhausted most of the time may indicate depression. The daily activities you engage in now take longer to complete due to exhaustion.
5. Trouble concentrating.
Focusing and engaging with your environment is becoming a problem. This eventually leads to problems making decisions and remembering things. An inability to concentrate can lead to withdrawal in a depressed person.
6. Changes in sleep.
This includes a drastic change in your sleep pattern Insomnia or sleeping too much. Either you have trouble sleeping or you are completely asleep. Changes in your sleep; feeling sleepy when you are normally awake at that particular time. These symptoms lead to fatigue, which can worsen other symptoms of depression.
7. Irritability.
You get upset or angry easily, even over small or insignificant problems. Irritability varies from individual to individual. There is also a difference in how men and women show irritability, with some becoming aggressive or volatile, especially men. Women, on the other hand, feel angry one moment and cry the next.
