Luxury Home Made Soap

 Luxury Home-Made Soap

Making your own soap can be beneficial in many ways, one of which is that you know exactly what's inside, which can be a blessing if you have sensitive skin, and I'll explain why later.
Homemade soap making has also grown in popularity over the last few years and can be a very profitable way of life if you do it right. Let's start from the basics, there are two ways to make soap at home; the cold pressing method and the melting and casting method. We will focus on the latter

Melt and pour soap is a basic soap from which you simply cut off the amount you want to use and melt, either over or in the microwave, and pour into your molds.

There are different types of melt-and-pour soap bases, including clear, super clear,

shea butter, cloudy, and sodium lauryl sulfate or SLS-free. SLS can irritate your hands if you have sensitive skin, so if you want to make soap for sensitive skin, you may want to use an SLS-free soap base. There are many online stores that sell a good soap base for around £6.00 per kg. You can also buy many different types of scents, colors, and botanicals to add to your soap to make it smell and look exciting.
Remember that you want to use essential oils and cosmetic dyes when adding colors and fragrances to your soap. This is because you will be using your soap or other people will be using it if you decide to sell it) and you don't want to throw any old dye and fragrance into it, so ALWAYS use cosmetic colors or essential oils for fragrance. You'll have to experiment on your own to get the right colors and scents, but I only use a few drops of color and maybe double the amount of essential oil.
