Care Makes More Sense Than an Institution

Care Makes More Sense Than an Institution

Just because your loved ones are getting older doesn't automatically mean you have to send them to a nursing home. Instead, many seniors are able to live in their own homes with some assistance.
Familiar surroundings

"Aging in place," another way to describe home care, allows your loved one to stay in a place that is familiar. They know all their neighbors. They know the layout of the house. They know exactly how to work with appliances.
If they had access to appliances, such as in an assisted living facility, they would not automatically know how to operate them, which could lead to accidents. Most importantly, they would not have their social ties to neighbors and religious communities.

For seniors dealing with cognitive issues such as early-stage dementia, this could adversely affect their quality of life. Instead of using the objects around them to fight this debilitating disease, they would find themselves in an unfamiliar environment with nothing to help them hold on to their fading memories.

Health and healing,It is common for patients battling one disease to contract a secondary infection due to their surroundings.
