Breathing In Traffic

 Breathing  In Traffic

Anyone who drives a car knows the dangers of sitting in traffic. After so many hours of watching taillights and crossing roads, it takes a toll on your body. As more and more people are on the road, your increased inactivity in your car can put you at risk of developing various health conditions.

Being inactive increases your risk of developing diabetes, heart disease, or weight problems. Add that hour of traffic each day to your inactivity and you're on an unhealthy path.

Aside from inactivity, you probably don't realize that air pollution in your car is a real thing. Closing the windows, enjoying the air conditioning, and jamming the radio will not protect you from air pollution. There was a study that found that air pollution in your car is a real thing. In fact, it's 15x worse than walking outside.

We're going to get a little science
for a moment, so bear with us. Every car has a ventilation system, but no system prevents large objects from entering your car. Basically, it means that the pollutants get trapped in your car and you breathe that polluted air.
